The Reflector behind Threshold Reflections

Mirror and Weaver

I am Dana, a collaborative witness to the space between; the big celebrations and the subtle moments of becoming.

I have always been fascinated by the space between. Growing up, I did not fit, really anywhere, and often found myself observing more than participating. The first word I learned that encompassed this familiar feeling was bardo (bar meaning between and do meaning island), and I have spent much of my life asking questions of belonging from that state of the floating in the liminal before reaching any certainty or metaphorical island.

Raised steeped in the traditions of Tibetan Buddhism, I was shaped by meeting teachers, nuns, and practitioners dedicated to translating ancient wisdom for modern times. Through these early experiences and later the empowerments of the lineage earned by initiation, I have come to believe that the thresholds we cross, whether we are shedding an old identity, celebrating a new beginning, or navigating the landscape of grief, deserve pause, accompaniment, and attuned support.

My work at Threshold Reflections is born from a lifelong practice of intentional observation and a deep reverence for the rituals that anchor us. I bring my child self, the one who had to grow up too fast in order to survive, with me into all I do as a dedicated healing practice. It is a reminder that it is never too late to integrate a threshold, to be truly seen, and to create beauty from what has been painful.

The Reflector’s Perspective

In the system of Human Design, I am a 3/5 Reflector. In a world that often demands we be consistent, fast-moving, and fit neatly into an easily understandable package, my nature is to experiment, to mirror, and to follow the constant pull of inspiration toward emergence. I sample the environments, communities, and people around me, reflecting back the essence of what I feel and see. In reference to the bardo, a reflector is the water that touches every shore but belongs to the vastness in between.

Being a 3/5 profile means my wisdom is hard-earned. I have moved through life’s trials and transitions with a spirit of heart-centered dedication, learning exactly what it takes to mend what is broken and celebrate what is emerging. I don’t just offer theories; I offer grounded solutions born from lived experience.

Rooted in Life

I live on the Monterey Peninsula with my husband, our two children, and our two cats. The coastal fog, the unique ecotones of this land, and the shifting tides are my favorite inspirations for ritual and for navigating life’s many seasons.

Our Collaboration

I believe that meaning-making is best as a collaborative act. Whether we are exploring the mechanics of your unique design or weaving a ritual for a sacred transition, my role is to walk the path beside you and offer what I see.

Whether facilitating weddings, funerals or navigating the thresholds of birth and identity transformation, I use Human Design as a foundational framework. My goal is to support intentional emergence for couples, teams, and individuals as they cross into what is next.

I am here to help you draw out your truth, offer mending tools, and create space to listen to the visions rising. I look forward to witnessing your unfolding.
